These Terms and Conditions govern your use of The Car Place website and the finance application service we provide. By using the site or submitting an application, you accept these terms.
The Car Place is a New Zealand-owned motor vehicle dealer and finance broker. We work with a panel of NZ-licensed lenders. We are not ourselves a lender. All lending decisions, rates, and terms are determined by our finance partners, subject to their credit criteria.
To apply for finance you must be 18 years or older, a New Zealand resident, and not an undischarged bankrupt. You must provide accurate, complete, and current information.
The initial application uses a soft credit check only. Soft checks have no impact on your credit score and do not appear on your credit report. A full credit assessment only occurs once you choose to proceed with a formal application, with your explicit consent.
Every car sold by The Car Place is independently AA-appraised and includes a 3-year Mechanical Breakdown Insurance (MBI) warranty as standard. Warranty terms and conditions apply.
